This method is the standard process for submitting batch transmissions. FTP allows users to transfer files from their computer to another computer (upload) or from another computer to their computer (download). Each batch file transmission is required complete within two hours. Any transmission exceeding two hours will be disconnected. FTP is strictly a dial-up connection. |
Q: | How do I access FTP to use it as my method of transmission? |
A: | You need to complete a Security Agreement Packet B. Contact Provider Services at 800-343-9000 and request a copy of the packet be faxed to you or print off a copy of the Security Packet B (click here to download). Q: | What transactions can I send through FTP? |

The FTP transmission method will accept claims, eligibility requests, prior approval requests and claim status requests. NCPDP D.0 may also be sent using this method. You may receive all associated response transactions through FTP. |
Q: | How long do the downloaded files stay in the backup directory of my FTP account? |
A: |
Twenty-eight days. These files can be re-queued if accidentally deleted in this time frame at provider request. |
